Sheq Officer

Maintain and Audit of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management systems.
- Ensure effective QUESH Management
- To ensure compliance to all SHE Legislation requirements.
- Investigate all incident / accidents; near misses and follow up.
- Update, draft and implementation of system procedures and work instructions.
- Updating all SHEQ trackers.
- Plan, conduct internal and external audits.
- Conduct SHEQ risk assessment process and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Ensure effective emergency preparedness plan is in place
- Coordinate and conduct Internal SHEQ Training program.
- Work effectively with others as a member of a team.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve the company’s overall SHEQ System.
- Ensure an Effective Induction Program is set up for employees and contractors
- Implement a medical surveillance program in line with AECI Requirements
- Participate in the company’s Wellness program
- Management and Control of PPE - order / issue etc.
- Improve existing control measures to control risks - Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality.
- Conduct inspections on QUESH emergency equipment as per PM’s

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Matric with Maths and Science.
- Must have relevant SHEQ qualifications eg. Dip / Deg SHE Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a chemical industry plant environment, preferably production related.
- Minimum 3 years’ SHEQ Management experience.
- Experience in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Management Systems
- Excellent knowledge of SHE legislation and best practice.
- Excellent investigation capability and report writing and presentation skills.
- SAP experience will be an advantage
- Be computer literate - MS Office package especially Excel.
