**Role Purpose**
**Requirements**:
- Qualified actuary
- Minimum of 5 years Actuarial experience required
- Minimum of 2 years Management experience required
- Previous experience in an Actuarial valuations environment will be essential
**Duties & Responsibilities**
**Internal**
- Manage the production of actuarial results to ensure timely, accurate and objective measurement of financial performance.
- Play a leading role in the analysis, review, and consolidation of financial results for Metropolitan Life South Africa as well as other African entities.
- Play a leading role in delivering statutory financial information in line with Group practices, policies, and timelines.
- Liaising with auditors and preparation of internal and external reporting material.
- Drive strategy implementation and perform certain tasks personally to produce required output (model enhancements, implementing process enhancements, analysing, and explaining results).
**Client**
- Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards of the production teams and resolve issues speedily to enhance stakeholder delivery.
- Engage other specialist/expert areas within the Group to manage service delivery in line with business expectations and requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., clients, CFO, HAF, Heads of product/function areas)
