Clinical Coder

Our client, a hospital group who has provided health care services in Kwa-Zulu Natal based in Stanger are looking to recruit a Billing Auditor for their private hospital.

The main purpose of the job is to provide timeous, efficient, accurate auditing of patient files including medical charts and records for compliance with coding regulations and guidelines and to identify inaccuracies, compliance issues and inefficiencies.

**MINIMUN QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Professional Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- Must be registered with SANC
- ICD/PCT Coding is a pre-requisite (Advanced clinical coder preferred)
- At least 5 years bill auditing experience in a hospital environment

**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Patient Billing and Auditing
- Patient Case Management
- Doctor Liaison
- Data Management and Statistical Analysis
- Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**
- Understanding of the FFS Interpretation and Billing Document
- FFS and NHN Tariff structure understanding and interpretation
- Knowledge of NHN billing agreements and tariffs
- Knowledge or previous experience using the HIS
- Computer literate - must be accurate and pay attention to detail

On offer:
**Salary**: R28,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

License/Certification:

- Nursing Council registration (preferred)
