This position will be based at a site in Limpopo

**Description**

The purpose of this position is to procure materials, services and supplies for the Site

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that quality products are purchased and delivered to site within the required time frame with the lowest possible total cost of ownership
- Provide technical and relevant data to all end users
- Develop and maintain relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, payment terms, approved substitutes and other cost saving initiatives
- Liaise with user departments over material requirements and major shutdowns
- Work hand in hand with the Materials Controller to ensure that there are no stock outs or any financial loss to the Company due to quality or supply problems
- Investigate and develop supply sources
- Investigate and follow up on all receiving discrepancies associated with purchase orders
- Assist with the investigation and resolution of all invoice mismatches associated with orders
- Understand the procure to pay as well as contract to procure process
- Run tender and RFQ processes
- Evaluation of tenders / supplier quotes
- Contract Administration (capture, filing, monitor, manage, goals / services receipt)

**Qualification Requirements**
- Grade 12
- Relevant Diploma in Purchasing or Materials Management or a similar qualification will be advantageous

**Experience and Skills Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Buyer within the mining industry
- Strong commercial acumen
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- English language proficiency
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Computer literate in MS Office
