Crank Operator

**BACKGROUND**

Youngman Roofing, a leading supplier of high-quality roofing and insulation products, is looking for an individual to join the Group as a Crank Operator. The successful individual will be required to efficiently and effectively operate the relevant machinery to crank and curve material as per the requirements of the manufacturing process.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Responsible for receiving cut material from the Roll-forming Machine Operator for specific cranking or curving requirements as per work order from the supervisor.
- Responsible for adhering to machine operating procedures at all times, including accurate set-up, adjustments, inspections, care and maintenance of the machine.
- Continuously liaise with Roll-Forming Machine Operator, customer services assistants and pickers.
- Responsible for adhering to all company and health & safety regulations.
- Adhering to and administering process and quality improvement.
- Ensure the housekeeping and cleanliness of work area.
- Ensure control and mínimal generation of excess and reject material.
- Complete all required Administration documentation, signing off work as completed.

**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 or equivalent. Alternatively, individuals will be given Recognition for Prior Learning if they are not in possession of a Matric certificate.
- At least 2 years experience in the metal industry, with at least 1 year experience operating relevant machine as per position applied for.
- Good technical skills
