A position with in an Automotive Manufacturing company opened up for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Coordinator on their Cape Town plant.
- Solid technical strength - electromechanical or electrical with mechanical and automation exposure.
- Analysing repeating issues
- Leadership (working with people, listen, giving feedback and support)
- Electronics (8-10 years) experience
- Software support
- Experience with drives, PLC, motors
- Good communication skills / teamwork
- Engineering solution orientated.

**EDUCTION**:

- Min of N5 post matric technical qualification in both Mechanical and Electrical
- Trade Tested Artisan (fitter, Millwright, Toolmaker, Electrician)
- Min of 10 years experience at Supervisory level in a medium to large manufacturing environment
- Computer knowledge
- ERP Systems
- Knowledge in PLC systems is prerequisite

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Asset management
- Cost control
- Safety
- Supervision of electrical and mechanical team performing repairs and maintenance of a section of the manufacturing plant.
- Monitoring as well as maintenance and contractor management of all LV and MV switchgear and generators on 52 000sqm plant including tenants’ buildings.
- Supervision of team and contractors performing scheduled maintenance on buildings as well as plant services like compressors, cooling towers, water treatment, pumps, etc.
- Purchasing and price negotiation of all parts and components required for equipment mentioned above in conjunction with junior storeman.
- Occasional call-outs for breakdowns or site emergencies involving any of the above equipment if the artisans on site requires help.
- GMR 2.1 for the site.
- Performing risk analysis and incident investigations as and when required.
- Project management for new equipment installations, upgrades and any other CAPEX projects.
- Apprentice and student training and mentoring.
- Compiling and adhering to maintenance and project budgets.
- Chairperson of Health & Safety Committee
- Member of audit preparation team for all ISO and various International customer audits up to ISO 14 001 level.
- Initiating and chairing Disciplinary Enquiries.
