Our client in Stellenbosch, FMCG concern has this role in their HSE Department. You will report to the HSE Manager
Key performance areas:
- Ensure optimal functioning of Health and Safety committee; Ensure adherence to safety, risk and environmental legislation and keep up to date with changes to such ligislation
- Identify and minimize hazardous and potential risk situations; assist with risk control issues
- Ensure accident and incident control; Conduct health and safety investigations; conduct health and safety training; Construction Management; Conduct legal compliance audit
- Relevant working experience in a similar capacity within a Health and Safety field
- 3 - 5 years safety experience in the FMCG industry
- Sound knowledge of OHS Act and other Safety and Security Legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Packages
- Proven ability to work independently and under pressure
- Must be pro-active and assertive to ensure compliance to rules and regulations
- An unendorsed and valid driving licence
- Own or reliable transport to and from work
- Ability to cope with demands of the position
Qualifications required:
- Grade 12
- National Safety Diploma
- SAMTRAC or equivalent
**Salary**: R22,000.00 - R24,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
