Our client is looking for an experience
**Logistics Controller,** based at the Johannesburg branch.

**Inventory Control**
- All stock must be correctly receipted and accounted for (inbound)
- Stock Rotation - Identify slow moving stock and expiring stock and report these to management on a monthly basis
- Assisting with quarterly stock counts as well as interim cycle counts
- Communicate effectively with NDC (Durban) regarding stock to JHB (journals etc)
- Daily monitoring of stock in transit to customers
- Undertake route cause analysis of queries, complaints, incorrect loading and picking conducted to prevent recurrence
- Ensure turnaround times in the warehouse are managed for efficiency
- Monitoring and maintaining correct stock levels and FIFO
- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock (OOS)
- Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed from NDC and Branch
- Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays
- Analyzing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock.

**Warehouse Management/Control**
- Accurate Picking and Despatching stock
- Housekeeping within the warehouse - outside and inside, ensure it is kept safe and neat
- Ensuring that all equipment and trucks are in good condition
- Management of goods returned and credits
- Back Orders - Ensure process communication e.g. stock availability and delivery (Sales/Customers)
- Process Management (i.e. document flow) - receipt of customer order to receipt of POD’s
- Management of sub-ordinates to ensure processes and job functions are carried out
- Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
- Supervising warehouse staff and their daily activities
- Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds
- Checking orders upon loading, received and deliveries for accuracy
- Maintaining health & Safety Standards

**General**
- Undertakes such additional duties which may from time to time be assigned to the employee in the discharge of his / her duties
- Ensure that all company property is used properly and maintained at a high level at all times
- To ensure that a correct and proper image of the Company is maintained at all times

**Education and Experience**
- Matric or NQF 4 qualification
- Must have 3-4 years’ experience in a logistics position
- Must have a logistics qualification
- Production Management Qualification is an advantage
