Dataops Specialist

**The Role**
Reporting into the Director, DataOps, the **DataOps Specialist** will work closely with our global data ops team to build and maintain data pipelines to facilitate and improve data-informed decision-making within the business. This is an opportunity to work with large volumes of data and gain exposure to big data architectures.
Data is at the core of what we do at Triton Digital, both in providing data-driven metrics to our customers, and in analyzing our user behavior to improve the product experience and enable us to better manage our business.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Play a hands-on role as part of an Agile team to develop, test and maintain high quality systems that fulfil business needs.
- Help support the team in maintaining existing software and data infrastructure
- Monitor our systems and platforms, and provide response and resolution to incidents in a timely manner
- Utilize a ticketing system such as JIRA for issue tracking, response, and resolution
- Write documentation of new processes and products that you have developed
- Communicate with key stakeholders within the company providing internal support

**Requirements**:
**You must have**:

- 3+ years of DataOps experience
- 2+ years of experience with common distributed data tools in a production setting such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka and Hadoop
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores
- Understanding of MPP data platforms such as Apache Hive, Presto, Spark, Redshift
- Advanced knowledge of SQL programming and code optimization
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and GIT
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English)
- Demonstrated ability to quickly master new technologies

**Nice to have**:

- Experience in the design of database architecture for relational databases and data warehouses
- Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Experience of reading and writing data using Python and SQL
- Familiarity with cloud technology, especially with AWS
