**Position Summary**

We are now looking for a Head of Logistics** **to be based in Longmeadow DC and Bryanston Head Office.

In this role you will be responsible to accountability for the provision of physical logistics on behalf of Nestlé Businesses through the management of both in house and 3rd party distribution operations.

**A day in the life of a Head of Logistics**:

- Develop and maintain a high level of Safety, Quality & Compliance.
- Ensure the proactive delivery of outstanding service at minimum cost to serve, across all physical flows.
- Develop a deliver a sustainable logistics strategy, including distribution network.
- Bring a structured approach towards continuous improvement, in line with business strategy.
- Ensure proper management of labor resources in the Distribution network.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices and that legal obligations are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with procurement in the selection of relevant 3PLs and service providers where required, establishing and managing sound contract conditions and maintaining a beneficial working relationship with the service providers.
- Adapt to changes in the logistics and/or market environment and dealing with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions by ensuring an adequate level of flexibility of structures and processes to meet ad-hoc customer requirements.
- Manage the relationship and proactive and effective flow of information between internal functions and with external business partners such as Customers, service providers and vendors.
- Correct construction, control, and management of the budget for Physical Logistics (cost budget for Physical Logistics and new investment requirements).
- Develop a strong pipeline of talent within logistics, supported by solid development plans.
- Lead the sustainability improvement agenda in logistics.

**What will make you successful?**
- 10 years or more relevant experience in supply chain, including logistics management experience.
- Successful operational experience in a leadership role at market/ business environment, with a proven track record of developing and leading teams.
- Relevant operational experience at market/business level in the following areas will be beneficial:

- Customer Service Demand & Supply Planning Sales Finance:

- Business Planning.
- Budget control.
- Cost management.
- Technical & Production.
- Purchasing Experience in the management of projects such as: Distribution Network Redesign High Performance Customer Logistics.
