WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The** Maintenance Fitter **is responsible for conducting preventative, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to plant and equipment. This entails inspecting, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Maintain all infrastructure, equipment and services as per the work request for maximum plant availability**.****:

- Perform planned and statutory maintenance
- Perform breakdown maintenance
- Perform production change overs
- Execute planned plant upgrades as the approved capital and product development projects.
- Maintain and set specialized tooling i.e. propellant dies
- Inspect, service, repair and overhaul machinery
- Analyse drawings and plan material accordingly
- Ensure to procedure and method of work complies with work permits
- Perform fault-finding on hydraulics/pneumatics and mechanics
- Perform tool change overs on hydraulics presses.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- N3 Certificate in Engineering Studies or equivalent
- Completed apprenticeship
- Trade Certificate in Fitter or equivalent
- 5 years maintenance experience on machinery in explosives or petrochemicals
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime and be on standby
- Self-disciplined & hard working
- organized approach to work
- Ability to work well in a team.
