**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Involved in the day to day operations
- Do purchase orders as requested through purchase quotations or departmental requisitions
- Follow-up on status of current purchase orders and confirm delivery dates
- Ensure accuracy of documentation before goods receipt is done
- Ensure accuracy of documentation before documents are sent to Accounts Department for processing
- Adhere to safety regulations
- Provide procurement administration support to projects
- Ensure BEE compliance and adherence concerning suppliers
- Prepare request for quotations and submit to potential suppliers
- Analyse quotes and make recommendations
- Negotiate terms and conditions and conclude supplier agreements (price, quality, delivery, payment terms, etc)
- Provide sample components to R&D for first part approval
- Place initial orders and follow up (supplies. Logistics, freight forwarders, etc)
- Establish, set, maintain and update material standards (exchange rates, raw material trends, etc
- Conduct supplier reports and make recommendations for improvements
- Maintain and improve relationships with suppliers
- Housekeeping
- Preparation and submission of departmental reports to assist manager

**SKILLS, SPECIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written
- Strong Admin skills
- Customer Service skills
- SAP and CRM
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Purchasing will be an advantage
- Code 8 driver’s license
- 2 years’ appropriate experience in the same or similar working environment
- Highly numerate
