Maritz Electrical is currently recruiting for a First Line Response Supervisor. To ensure that all consumer complaints/queries, power outages and emergency situations are attended to by a 24/7 shift operation.
**DUTIES**
- Communicating with the Foremen and Superintendent and receiving and or interpreting requirements/specifications from work orders and plan accordingly.
- Prioritizing and planning the sequence of activities.
- Allocating work to staff and receiving feedbacks in respect of progress and on completion.
- Reporting on electrical [ point of supply] breakdowns and or communicating urgent repair work necessary to restore functionality.
- Identifying and reporting causes of incidents and or accidents.
- Do fault findings via telephonic communication with consumers and Linesmen.
- Interpret diagrams of the electrical network in order to identify faults.
- Monitoring attendance/conduct and output of staff and addressing deviations
- Dispatching teams to consumer fault locations and ensuring that breakdowns are repaired.
- Establishing the adequacy and availability of personnel against daily work.
- Facilitating the understanding of processes and procedures with respect to the operations.
- Ensure that the field staff comply with relevant by-laws when restoring supply to consumers.
- Providing the daily required feedback and information the City [Client] will be looking for.
- Monitoring the time frames on each and every notification
- Attending meetings
- Site investigations and public liabilities
- Giving technical support and assisting with decision making on different types of faults
- Mobi and radio technical support
- Planning shift rosters
- Meter and material auditing/ dealing with revenue protection matters
- Dealing with emergencies
- Doing quotations and materials requisitions for reinstatements
- Material collections from the depots
- Assisting the admin with all the support they need and managing their work
**INFORMATION RECORDING**:
- Completing internal and external transactional documents eg overtime sheets. Leave forms, PLCs, incidents, corrective measure forms, City assets documents, contractual documents for EAM by:
- Inserting the relevant information
- Forwarding to the relevant personnel for processing
- Completes reports for the attention of the line manager
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric / NCV Level 4 / Equivalent Qualification - **Non Negotiable**
- Drivers Licence and fit to drive - **Non Negotiable**
- Trade Tested & **3 - 5 Years experience** in an electrical environment

- 3 Years Supervisory Experience.
- Working knowledge of relevant Safety Legislation and Practices e.g. Construction regulations in terms of the OHS Act.
- Broad Knowledge of Electrical equipment
- Background knowledge of First Line Response an added advantage
- Electricity By-law, Electricity tariffs, Relevant legislation, Metering Standards, Pre-payment Vending system.
- A good knowledge in MS-Office is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Speak English
- Organizational and analytic skills
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing teams
