Contract Lecturer

**Background**:

**Responsibilities**:
Lecture and assess students studying via contact learning in language conversational sign language (LCSL400)
Two lecture periods x 10 lecture weeks

Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to deliver modules.
Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
Assist the module coordinator to complete all quality assurance requirements relating to the module (s).
Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.

**Minimum requirements**:
Minimum of diploma in sign language or equivalent. A relevant bachelor of education honours or equivalent qualification with relevant study is preferable.
At least three years teaching and/or lecturing experience in teaching sign language.
Experience in online teaching and learning environments.

High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.

Willingness to work when required on Saturdays.
