Occupational Health Nurse

Finlar Fine Foods based in Stikland, Western Cape requires the services of an Occupational Health Nurse with a dispensing licence. This is a permanent position that requires the individual to work 5 days per week, 5 hours per day.

**Duties**:

- To coordinate the occupational health & safety processes and primary health of the company.
- Provide a primary health service to employees and dispense schedule 1 to 4 medicines
- Coordinate and provide the bi-annual wellness screening of all employees
- Identify employees with social problems that should be referred to the contracted service provider
- Advise on disability cases
- Coordinate medical surveillance including pre-employment, baselines, periodic medicals and exit medicals
- Coordinate visual protection and hearing conservation programmes as well as conducting audiometric testing
- Conduct lung function testing
- Coordinate specialist service providers to deliver training and education on health matters
- Coordinate the EAP programme and managing the service provider
- Maintain employee health records and capture employee data on the electronic system
- Provide monthly reports on the primary health service to HR on relevant statistics and trends and make recommendations for trends picked up
- Coordinate the in-house wellness programme
- Support organizational compliance to occupational health and safety employment legislation

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Occupation health qualification
- Dispensary license
- Good standing with HPCSA
- 2 - 5 years experience in an FMCG environment
