- Have the overall responsibility for ensuring that construction related procedures, systems and processes have been established and are followed, by implementing relevant assurance monitoring and measurement requirements and site quality, handover and close out requirements. Furthermore, they are responsible for ensuring that appointed contractors follow the stipulated contract quality requirements.
- Attend/coordinate the following meetings, as a minimum:

- Kick off meetings with client and contractors
- Host quality meetings on site with all contractors
- Weekly progress meetings with project site personnel
- Daily/weekly progress meetings with contractors
- Weekly progress meetings with client
- Daily commissioning meetings
- Construction closeout review.
- Conduct progressive reviews of contractor data packs for completeness and compliance. Produce the following reports.
- Site quality monthly reports and dashboard reports populated from QA/QC Coordinators. These reports will be completed at least once a month to head office
- (Project Quality Manager).
- Audit/assessment reports (internal and vendors) and inspection/surveillance reports.
- These reports will be done immediately after the audit or inspection. Project Closeout Report.
- Conduct internal/contractor/supplier audits/quality assessments as per the approved schedule and checklists.
- Set up and implement site aspects of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in consultation with the Construction Manager and Project Quality Manager and manage the Project Quality Control Plan (PQCP) intervention and sign offs.
- Prepare and implement quality control inspection procedures.
- Implement and maintain site quality documentation controls adequately.
- Assist with the development of the project quality control inspection schedule and measure progress.
- Coordinate the preparation of Field Inspection Packs (FIP).
- Coordinate project field inspections, sampling and testing activities identified in contractor quality control plan.
- Coordinate disposition of all non-conformances, Field Engineering Queries (FEQ) and concessions in consultation with field engineers.
- Ensure that non conformances and concession requests, if applicable, are resolved and cleared prior to release of equipment.
- Ensure that all inspection, measuring and testing equipment used by the supplier/contractor is calibrated and traceable to a national standard.
- Comply with document management requirements.
- Coordinate site quality assurance/quality control records, including:

- Quality Improvement/Incident Report, concession, and deviation databases FIPs and field inspection checklists
- Inspection and NCR reports, etc.
- Contractor quality control plans
- Test results etc.
- Witness SAT requirements. Check red line and final ‘as-built’ documents.
- Define the requirements for approved inspection authorities (AIA) and inspection staff.
- Coordinate inspection resources (local and agency) including the allocation of inspection assignments in accordance with the quality control inspection plan.
