**Job Purpose**
The Editor/Senior Writer will be part of the in-house Publishing Division. Reshaping and refining content to perfection are some of the core functions of this role as well as quality checking content for accuracy and proofreading for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax. Working with the content style guide and direction from the HOD, the editor/senior writer must be able to produce a high-end product for both print and digital solutions for our student market.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Editing of academic content, primarily study materials and marketing material where required.
- Proofreading.
- Writing and refining content.
- Must be able to work extended hours or on weekends where required.

**Competencies required**
- Outstanding command of English, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong/advanced writing ability.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate through Word with ease. (Layout, line spacing, numbering, diagrams, tables, etc.).
- Excellent research skills.
- Knowledge of online tools/platforms.
- Positive attitude with the ability to take instruction and follow through.
- Deadline driven, with the ability to work in a high pace environment.

**Qualification/Experience**
- Diploma or Degree in English, Journalism or related.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
