Our Client is a market-leading pan-African business seeking a Hatchery Manager to join their team in Mozambique. The role is open to Expats.

**Salary & Benefits**:
Range of $3.000 - $3,500 net payable locally in Mets. 20% bonus possibility linked to company and personal performance, a company car, fuel, medical aid, accommodation and two flights home annually.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The role of the Hatchery Manager is to oversee the Hatchery’s activities and ensure that all Hatchery KPIs are reached and aligned with strategic corporate goals, within budget and that biosecurity is maintained

Responsible for achieving budgeted number of saleable day-old chicks as per budget

Manages Hatchery costs to optimise as per annual budget

Responsible for training Mozambique commercial staff on technical aspects of DOC rearing

Responsible for product registration with relevant authorities and AMIA liaison

Must identify and utilize data and analytics to drive effective decision making at all levels of the organization

Responsible for leading, managing & developing a high performing Hatchery team aligned with Company HR Policy, Values & Behaviours

Ensures Hatchery team complies with company QA, SHE, GHPs (Good Hygiene Practice), GMPs (Good Management Practice) and all other company SOPs & deadlines

Implements Company corporate risk controls & ensures compliance with legal & company requirements

Responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, security and general appearance of the Hatchery’s infrastructure, assets, equipment & stocks. Same for Stores.

**Qualifications**:
Be a holder of an appropriate Agricultural/Veterinary Degree

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior hatchery role
