**Senior ICT Specialist in the Department of Information Systems**

**Main Objectives**
Technical Support and Systems Administration of IS and CS departments to assist the smooth running of the departments from a teaching, research and community engagement perspective.

**The requirements**
A relevant 3-year qualification (NQF level 7), preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems, plus approximately 4 years’ relevant experience where such experience includes:
- Previous experience in an IT-related field
- Knowledge and/or experience in system and server design and architecture
- Previous experience working with alternative operating systems
- Algorithmic, scripting and programming skills are required

**Remuneration per annum (grade 13)**:
Cost to Company Approximately (annual): R 628,543.00

Basic Salary (Annual): R 471,932.00

Rhodes University has a vaccination mandate as part of its Conditions of Service. The implementation of the vaccine mandate has been held in abeyance from 01 January 2023. Should the COVID-19 situation change in a way that the number of cases of COVID-19 pose a threat to the University, the implementation of the Vaccine Mandate will be re-activated and all staff would be required to be fully vaccinated.
