Copywriter

Note: this is a hybrid position and will require some days working on the company premises

**A copywriter is needed to write clear and concise copy for blog posts, ads, social media and websites. Your words will inform and engage target audiences for our clients, across a range of industries. Primarily, the copy required will be blog posts, social media posts and SEO content. The copywriter will also need to be skilled in keyword research.**

**Accountabilities**:
Meet deadlines for approvals and publication:

- If no response is received within 72 hours, call client for feedback
- Ensure that posts that are uploaded for approval are published correctly

**Maintain Brand Integrity**:

- Copywriter should have a good handle on the clients’ brand identities and strategies, to ensure mínimal negative feedback on posts

**Monthly Client Reporting**:

- Send summary report to Admin before 4th of each month on previous month’s performance

**Team Role (Individual contributor)**:

- Follow relevant procedures to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement
- Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables
- Work safely, complying with all safety procedures, rules and instructions, and ensuring protection of client IP and privacy at all times.

**Education**:

- Relevant degree or diploma required

**Work Experience**:

- Minimum 3 year’s experience working in a digital agency with verifiable references, and a portfolio of previous work

**Technical Skills**:

- Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Experience with SEO
- Strong research skills
- Basic Canva experience
- Excel/Google Sheets proficient
- Dropbox experience beneficial
- Social media scheduling software (e.g. Hootsuite) experience beneficial

**Language Skills/ Proficiency**:

**Salary**: R16,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- copywriting: 3 years (required)
