Property Caretaker and Gardener

Gardener and property caretaker for a guest-lodge, responsible for maintaining the premises and gardens and meeting the Employer’s and guests’ expectations.
A brief work description is as follows:
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the premises, which includes gardens, buildings and street frontage
- Daily cleaning of the swimming pool
- Maintenance of the lawns and gardens
- Maintenance of tools and equipment
- Overseeing safety and security of people and assets
- Grounds keeping
- Carrying out basic day-to-day and DIY maintenance to buildings, tools and equipment
- Notifying management of maintenance requiring external service providers
- Running errands on behalf of management
- Ensuring adequacy of stock levels of tools, consumables and general maintenance supplies
- Impeccable integrity and honesty. Character references must be provided
- Experience in cleaning large premises and equipment/tool use equipment
- Knowledge of pool cleaning equipment and swimming pool chemistry
- Experience in gardening and usage of garden tools
- Ability to carry out basic DIY building maintenance and looking after tools and equipment
- Basic knowledge of safety and security protocols
- A friendly disposition and genuine desire to meet workplace expectations
- Good communicator and team player
- Physically fit and be if good health
Whilst not essential, possession of demonstrable computer skills and valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
Initial 6 months contract and offer of permanent employment thereafter if employee found suitable.

**Experience**:
