Job Description

To collaborate with different business areas and translate business requirements into technical and functional requirements as well as solutions to resolve any system problems

- Are you someone who can:

- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with various of Payroll stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements
- Manage own development to increase own competencies
- Provision of training on current systems as and when required
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of Payroll Configuration team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies
- Minimum: related Diploma or certification
- Min of 10 years’ experience leading a payroll configuration function. (PaySpace experience is an advantage)
- Experience with payroll take-ons and new payroll system implementations/configuration
- Experience supporting payroll configuration for SA and Africa
- Payroll Configuration Requirements Working in a large organisation
- Management experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage projects (SDLC) and lead payroll initiatives.
- Work with internal customers and Payroll vendor, to analyse and provide feedback on technical and Functional Payroll Requirements
- Drive Payroll profitability in the context of cost management through Information Technology Solutions.
- Must have a deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and international regulations, and guide FirstRand through the critical any new payroll onboarding processes
- Key Responsibilities:

- Define and set-up the agreed new Entities across payroll processes and data requirements
- Documentation - Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and process documentation.
- Work with the internal customers to sign-off the project and document all of the client specific needs and processes ensuring validation and confirmation on the project implementation.
- Ability to analyse audit, and reconcile payroll data when required
- Config and mapping of GL accounts for payroll purposes
- Managing and Monitoring Payroll changes impacting legislation, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices.
- Ensure drafting and implementation of appropriate Payroll interventions.
- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with various of Payroll stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements.
- Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness.
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions by resolving queries fast end effectively
