We're looking for a Project Electrical Technician for Rustenburg and Polokwane, South Africa to focus on the delivery of planned maintenance programs to ensure reliable and safe asset operation

What you’ll do:

- To carry out major electrical equipment maintenance as per work instruction on Aggreko equipment
- To carry out systematic fault finding and repairs on electrical and control equipment.
- To carry out high voltage Aggreko equipment maintenance.
- To carry out procedural based failure reporting using paper and electronic systems
- To carry out ‘A’ service maintenance as per work instruction on Aggreko generators
- Troubleshoot and maintain Engine wise automations systems including PLC, Engine controls, Auxiliary systems controls.
- Plan and manage daily electrical maintenance activities at the plant in order to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
- To carry out ‘On the Job Training’ for Service Crew.
- To carry out switching on LV and HV Aggreko equipment
- Implementing preventative electrical maintenance programs with MMS / ATA (According to O&M).
- To follow and comply with Aggreko QHSE standards
- Displays a commitment to Operational Excellence initiatives
- Own LOTO system
- To complete and maintain paper and electronic records as per site specifics.
- To operate and diagnose Cummins control systems including main control boards, Generators control systems, engines control systems, auxiliary controls.
- To follow ESR procedures
- Adherence to 5S walk.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Good experience in preventative maintenance and repairs - Major Engine Servicing and repairs, Operations& Maintenance.
- Experience with engine controllers
- The ability to use specialist tools and ensuring all tooling is calibrated in accordance with Aggreko standards and local legislation.
- Must be capable of working in a restricted space and at heights up to 2.5 metres.
- Able to travel worldwide when required.
- Ability to support & coach others about Site Performance Management
- Ability to work autonomously when required.
- Ability to coach and mentor
