**Junior Equity Researcher**

Profile Data has an opening in the company's Equity Research Department.

The position involves management of Profile's ShareData database, a comprehensive financial information resource on all listed companies on the JSE, A2X, CTSE, EESE and NSX exchanges.

Job Specification
- Conducting financial and equity research into listed companies
- Managing and monitoring Corporate Research South Africa database, forecast database and ShareData Online website
- Analysing and interpretation of financial statements, financial reports, ratio calculations, exchange rate computations, directors’ dealings and SENS notes
- Sourcing, collating and verifying information on listed companies from SENS, annual reports etc.
- Compilation, proof reading and editing functions for Profile’s Stock Exchange Handbook
- Preparing, analysing and managing data received for shares, currencies, bonds and indices; as well as checking, correcting and updating dividend and earnings yields
- Capturing and executing corporate actions — performing share consolidations, splits and unbundlings; as well as listing and delisting companies
- Establishing and managing relationships with companies and attending to queries from clients timeously and diligently
- Writing media comments from various publications

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Excellent written and spoken English
- BCom degree with Economics/Finance/Accounting with up to 3rd year Accounting
- At least 1-2 years relevant work experience
