Corporate Security Risk Manager

Our client, a giant in the Real Estate Services Industry has recently expanded into Africa, but predominantly operates in South Africa providing services such as Facilities, Utility, Brand and Precinct Management for Landlords and Tenants. They are seeking a Security Risk Manager to oversee and be responsible for all security services for several buildings across Joburg and Cape Town. The successful incumbent will be based in Cape Town but travel to Joburg will be required periodically.
This position will require risk and security assessments, formulation and implementation of adequate policies pertaining to the corporate profile of the client. You will be assisting the on-site facilities teams (outsourced) to perform their function better by implementing risk mitigation measures, assessing all security risk for the client (break in, looting, riots, theft etc.) creating and implementing a plan to get the client to best practice standards, building a 5-year security plan, assisting with upgrading the control room, advising the Senior Facilities Manager of all matters security related and ensuring a long and mutually beneficial relationship between the client and the service provider continues.
Key attributes include thorough understanding/experience working with large corporates, knowledge of risk, best practices and security technology/control rooms is critical.
To be considered for this role you will need at least 8-10 years’ experience, working with large corporate clients in a similar role, at least 5 years of Senior Management experience in the Security and/or Risk Industry, a valid driver’s license and a tertiary qualification.
