We are looking for a Structural Steel Draughtsman with 4 years Tekla (alternatively XCad or StruCad or IronCad or similar) experience for a manufacturing company based on the East Rand

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible to generate drawings and models as needed for quotations as well as manufacturing
- Complete drawings and BOM’s as per requirements
- Ensure correct Manufacturing and Technical Specifications are added on drawings for material purchasing and conformance to relevant standards and specifications
- Follow uniformity of the design office and recognised good design intent on all drawings and 3D modelling work
- Complete and maintain Office Records, change requests, revisions and related design changes as required by customers and manufacturing
- Where applicable, with Manager consult with Engineers/Customers on new or changed designs before proceeding with drawings
- Ensure sufficient checking of drawings and BOMs to eliminate Non-Conformance reports
- Countersign NCRs and effect the relevant drawing changes/corrections and complete all of the associated documentation
- Interact with other Departments and Engineers/Customers as required for effective completion of projects

- Grade 12
- Minimum of N4/N5 Building design/Structural or similar qualification
- **MUST HAVE** 3 - 5 years structural steel drawing experience - people without structural steel experience will NOT be considered
- **MUST HAVE** 3 - 5 years TEKLA or StruCad or similar structural orientated drawing package experience in a structural environment.
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing processes
- Good reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Attention to detail and self-driven is essential
- Good working experience with MS Office packages, in particular the ability to formulate spreadsheets and maintain data
- Good communication skills both verbal and written are essential
- Projects experience would be beneficial
- Good mathematical skills and basic reasoning ability
- Salary is dependent on technical expertise, software knowledge and relevant industry experience
- South African citizens only
