Professional Nurse: Sub-district Coordinator

- The Sub-district Coordinator will oversee programme implementation in their respective area, manage implementation teams (Vaccine mobilizers, Data capturers, Professions and/or Enrolled Nurses, etc.) and ensure that programme objectives are achieved. The incumbent will coordinate and execute Anova’s COVID-19 vaccine project at a sub-district level._

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

**Leadership & Programme Management**
- Oversee programme implementation at allocated facilities
- Provide management, guidance, mentorship, and support to implementation staff
- Monitor the programme progress against objectives, and implement corrective actions as and when required
- Manage all the project assets and ensure are effectively and efficiently utilised
- Provide capacity building to the team and Anova stakeholders
- Maintain all relevant records for the programme

**Create Vaccination Demand**
- Create and develop strategies to increase demand for vaccination
- Provide innovative ideas to attract people to want to vaccinate
- Ensure that we are available where vaccination is required

**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Provide support to our stakeholders to ensure that vaccination in implemented accordingly at supported facilities, partners, and communities
- Always seek to foster new strategic partners to encourage and expand networks to boost demand for vaccination
- Partner with other Anova programmes to improve update of vaccination
- Attend and contribute to relevant stakeholder meetings to increase understanding of vaccination and encourage demand and support
- Provide our stakeholders with updates and reports on further developments

**Reporting and Administration**
- Collate and analyse data for reporting
- Provide quality improvement methods to ensure programme achieve its objectives
- Provide reports as and when required

**Minimum qualifications and experience**
- A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
- Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
- 3 years’ experience in a project co-ordination/management role within Public Health
- Covid 19 vaccination experience
- Understanding of the primary health care system in SA
- Experience working in primary health care facilities in the Western Cape
- Computer Literate in MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to persevere and adapt to changes
- Strong organizational skills, including time management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent report writing
- Driver’s License is required and ability to drive
