Practice Receptionist

Hours:
08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday
08:00 - 15:30 on Fridays
½ day off every 2nd week

The practice is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to manage their front desk daily and perform various administrative tasks. This role reports to the Practice Managers and Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing patient interactions in the practice
- Opening patient files and allocating account numbers
- Coordinating the payment of consultation fees
- Communicating with theatres regarding procedures, medical equipment, and material needs
- Assisting in obtaining authorisations and checking existing authorisations
- Arranging meetings, training sessions, and courses
- Ensuring the smooth running of the practice and managing claims
- Assisting with stocktake
- Performing general administrative duties
- Assisting in consent taking
- Ordering room and theatre supplies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Solid communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven people management skills
