**Role Summary**:
Step into a critical role managing a broad spectrum of mainly litigation matters. You'll leverage your deep understanding of South African legal practices and procedures, tackling complex legal issues with professionalism and sharp legal acumen.
**Key Responsibilities, not limited to the following**:
- Represent clients in a variety of courts and tribunals, handling both civil and criminal litigation matters.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, and agreements.
- Provide sound legal advice and guidance to clients on a multitude of legal issues.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individual and corporate clients.
- Manage negotiations and settlements in civil disputes, aiming for optimal outcomes.
- Mentor junior attorneys and clerks, fostering professional growth within the team.
**About You**:
- Admission as an Attorney in South Africa, with **at least 5 years of proven experience**.
- Profound knowledge of civil and criminal law, procedures, and court processes, and, as would be advantageous, other areas of law.
- Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering trust and collaboration with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Unyielding professional ethics, integrity, and dedication, upholding the highest standards of legal practice.
- Strong bilingual skills in English and Afrikaans.
