Welding Machine Operator

The **Welding** **Machine Operator **is responsible to manage the computer numeric controlled welding machine from setup to operation, ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of the machine as well as ensuring that the finished product of lithium cells into battery modules. You will be tasked with monitoring machinery, inspecting finished products, and leading test runs as well as the configuration of the machine, loading and operating the machines and optimizing the machine capability. Performing timely quality checks.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for daily maintenance of lithium battery module welding equipment
- Responsible for the optimization and replacement of fixture
- Responsible for welding equipment maintenance
- Select proper welding programs, and proper fixtures.
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
- Aware of the basic principle of laser welding
- Assist in the integration, start-up and debug of plant floor welding equipment, including weld controls.
- Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
- Perform all dimensional inspections.
- Regularly conduct tests of the machine’s performance and operating capacity.
- Keep an updated database on all of the machine’s information, defects and final products.
- Maintain a log of the activity.
- Regularly submit performance reports.
- Planning stock inventory and ordering parts.
- Be familiar with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiar with low and high pressure hydraulics,, pneumatics, lubrication systems

**Essential Requirements**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Prior experience as a machine operator
- May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
- Familiar with Omron PLC and basic principle of laser welding
- Familiar with HIKVISION Software
- Able to have countermeasures in place when defective materials are identified.
- Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
- Computer savvy with basic understanding of CAD/CAM
- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
- Excellent comprehension and analytical abilities.
- Good computer and mathematical skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude

- No criminal record.
- Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations
