Financial Sales Consultant

The aim of this role would be to generate revenue through the acquisition of clients and the sale of financial services to those clients.
The role will be supported by Sanlam’s state of the art technology, tools and support system which increases ease of business and adviser efficiency.
Basic overnight stay will be paid for when required and you will be provided with a new laptop or tablet as part of your onboarding package.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work with brokerage leadership to convert leads and generate business from work sites that have been opened
- Use the methodology, process and resources provided by the team to expand the number of sites to work
- Make effective presentations to potential clients
- Generate clients and revenue from leads once initial training has been completed with reasonable targets to be achieved
- Ensure your clients receive independent, good quality financial advice through the platform.
- Effectively manage a client portfolio with a focus on enhancing client experiences and relationships.
- Ensure your portfolio generates revenue to meet your own income expectations.
- Develop strategies to grow and retain your client portfolio, including but not limited to using the tools and resources to develop processes that suit your clients’ needs.
- Be the point of contact for all services that clients have with Sanlam.
- Initiate changes to a client’s services as managed by LifeCheq.
- Drive referral business from your existing client base through excellent service.
- Complete continuous professional development and regular case reviews to keep your skills and training relevant.
- Pass regulatory exams as required and keep up to date with compliance requirements.
- Actively engage in the market with the business objective of acquiring new clients to ensure a growing book and annuity income.
Earning prospects:
- R10k training salary for the first month
- Expected earnings of R10k per week minimum post training for a productive adviser
- R1m revenue per year by the end of year 3
Role requirements:
- No criminal Record
- Clear credit record
- Completed or in progress with RE5 and within DOFA period
- Reliable transport
- Covid vaccination or willingness to be vaccinated if successful
Preferable/Advantageous
- An existing base of clients that you can potentially bring over to your new portfolio
- 2 years experience in financial services as an adviser or in a related role
The key performance metrics in this role will be:
- Number of deals per month
- Revenue generated per month
- Persistency of existing policies
