VOIP Technician

We require the services of an VOIP technician to be based at our Cape Town offices. The job involves working with a dynamic team. The VOIP Technician will be responsible for:

- Installs and maintains VoIP infrastructure
- Responsible for testing and analysis of all network elements in the VoIP Network
- Optimise Network infrastructure and network security functions providing reliable support to business systems and processes
- Responsible and accountable for VoIP Network Availability, Reliability, Security policy and Monitoring
- Responsible for the setup and maintenance of Network Management systems in the VoIP space
- Provide support and high level fault resolution to the Business and Client Services and determine the root cause and risk elements of failures while considering alternative courses of action
- Understand the interrelationships of Voice, Network, Systems, Security policy and Core Networking protocols to provide guidance for integration at an organizational architecting level
- Training and instruction on the use and consumption of services on the platform.
- Ad hoc duties as per management.

Minimum Requirements and Personal Attributes:

- Working knowledge of PC hardware, software, networking, peripherals.
- Good client liaison skills - experience working with clients face to face and telephonically.
- VoIP Protocol, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching
- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP environments (essential)
- Experience working with Hosted telephony.
- Knowledge of SIP, reading call flows and troubleshooting error codes.
- Neat, presentable, and organized - in appearance and within the work environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Hard working and willing to learn.
- Passionate and Resourceful, going the extra mile.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Own Vehicle and Driver's License

Salary based on experience.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: R9,000.00 - R11,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bellville, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)
