- _Doctoral degree in_ H_orticulture or related fields_
- _At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years _professional experience in the relevant field_
- _At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, Chapters in a book and book publication_
- _Evidence of supervision of at least four Master or Doctoral students _
- _Mentoring and coaching of junior staff_

**_Associate Professor:_**
- _Doctoral degree in _Horticulture or related discipline_
- _At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field._
- _At least 10 articles published in accredited journals, Chapters in a book and book publication_
- _Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters/ Doctoral students _
