VBO Global is currently in pursuit of a passionate Data Analyst to join our highly skilled team and drive transformative change within the industry. The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Operations and Finance. Key responsibilities encompass dissecting payment transactions to detect fraud and trends, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for payment processing, ensuring data accuracy, and providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making. This role also involves market research, compliance activities, chargeback analysis, and crafting data visualizations—all contributing to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost management, and informed decision-making across various departments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Data Collection: Proficiently source data from diverse channels (databases, APIs, web scraping) with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Data Cleaning and Pre-processing: Transform and prepare raw data for analysis, including outlier and missing value handling.
- Data Visualization: Competently create impactful data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Machine Learning: Have familiarity with machine learning algorithms and the ability to implement and evaluate models.
- Database Management: Proficiently work with databases, execute SQL queries, and manipulate data.
- Programming: Possess strong programming skills in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Data Warehousing: Understand data warehousing concepts for efficient data handling, particularly with large datasets.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Analytics.
- Experience within the Fintech industry.
- Familiarity with payment technology or related domains.
- Skills in analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving, time management, teamwork, and adaptability.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R11,798.27 - R53,206.66 per month
