Associate Buyer

**Position Outcomes**
- Maximize purchasing benefits for Lubetech.
- Implement and maintain a thorough Supplier Evaluation/Approval assessment process.
- Implement and maintain a strict Supplier rationalization program.
- Strive to achieve excellent customer service and liaison.
- Develop track performance and drive improvements.
- Constantly be aware of market and economic trends and local and overseas developments.
- Assist in the tender procedure and procurement contract negotiations.
- Check supplier’s compliance with legal requirements.
- Ensure that standard costs are set accurately for annual budgets and take actions to resolve or

adjust accordingly.
- Establish a clear process to demonstrate the average material cost changes regularly year.

**Roles and Responsibilities (tasks)**:

- Identify areas of major spend.
- Conduct a price analysis of products compared to one another.
- Good understanding of the potential market’s supplier sourcing.
- Investigating alternative suppliers and manufacturers by accessing information, holding

discussions with current suppliers.
- Maintain and improve supplying of goods and services contracted.
- Timeous and accurate placement of required purchase orders, submission of official quotations

and processing PO documents.
- Managing the supplier expediting program, including of dispatch process.
- Manage supplier performance and reporting back on supplier performances on a regular basis.
- Assess cost breakdowns in response to proposed increases and when quotes are obtained.
- Ensure that all products or services that have a cost build up are defined by a cost analysis.
- Evaluate price performance indicators and adjust accordingly.
- Implementation of a defined procurement strategy.
- Training on Best Practices to staff.
- Changing spend category focus to a more strategic focus.
- Make recommendations on improvement to buying systems and processes.
- Ensure that all procurement policies and procedure are fully utilized in the business.
- Keeping the business informed on all procurement issue

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edenvale, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
