**PLEASE NOTE**:This is a JUNIOR MANAGEMENT position** reporting to the Branch Manager: Cape Town.**

**OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT**
- Day to day management and support to field staff.
- Assist Branch Manager with managing the CPT branch operations.
- Manage operations to ensure all ILIOS goals and objectives are achieved.
- Ensure accurate, adequate and cost-effective allocation of resources (staff, fleet and equipment).
- Support to and effective communication with the Operations, Planning, Fleet and Sales teams.
- Implement, manage and monitor all services on the day.
- Continuously check the vehicle tracking system to ensure that all services are on time.
- Problem-solving, decision-making and crisis management to achieve service delivery.
- Advise manager immediately of any major challenges experienced and assist in resolving.
- Planning and updating of the schedule and online documents as required.
- Ensure incidents are reported and communicated immediately to the Sales team.
- Ensure drivers and guides adhere to standard operating procedures and other company policies.
- Ensure effective briefing of field staff on requirements for the next day, update drivers & guides with changes daily.
- Ensure that guides are getting itineraries in advance for private tours and groups.
- Issue drivers and guides with required resources for the day before the start of shift (nameboards, waybills, directions, tour funds etc).
- Ensure all tasks have been completed at the end of the shift as per handover.
- Ensure effective handover to the next shift.
- Monitor the after-hour operations cellphone on a rotational basis.

**ADMINISTRATION**
- Preparation and issuing of driver / guide waybills, nameboards, maps and directions as required.
- Reconfirming 3rd party suppliers, activities and tour / transfer collection times.
- Confirm freelance guides in writing as requested.
- Checking of all arrival flights, meal and activity reservations as needed.
- Requesting and printing of cost sheets and itineraries as required.
- Effectively manage petty cash request when and if needed.
- Ensure document packs are set out with guide / driver work.
- Ensure that all vehicle breakdowns / damages are reported to Fleet Department.
- Check and ensure all relevant documents, receipts, cash is received from the field staff at the end of their services.
- Update field staff and operations rosters daily.
- Ensure accurate update of operations related documents

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 3-4 years’ management experience in the tourism transport logistics and/or hospitality industries
- Matric, Certificate in Tourism Management
- Strong administrative, people management and customer service skills
- Must have emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills, telephone etiquette
- Ability to work unsupervised, team player and confidentiality
- Time management, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, effective crisis management and resolution
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, early and/or late shifts
- Own transport (due to shift work)
- Salary commensurate with experience

Pay: From R1,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thornton, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
