- Plan finances and labour to meet production outcomes and maintain farm progress against budget parameters.
- Develop and implement appropriate programme per field, per crop on all growing aspects in consultation with Technical Advisors, Consultants and Management, adjust accordingly
- Plan, action, orientate and monitor outcomes of production plan and adjust to meet with crop performance and quality results
- Procurement of all material and equipment within set budgets are monitored, approved and deadlines met to meet production requirements and ensuring effective asset management and control
- Oversee the establishment and implementation of maintenance plans of all equipment to ensure high levels of production maintained
- Develop and evaluate stock control management throughout farm to minimize losses and maximize asset usage for effective production operations
- Evaluate and develop appropriate climatic risk management strategies to minimize loss of property and life
- Evaluate and develop appropriate logistics plan to meet all operational requirements
- Evaluate and develop estate management needs and prepare annual estate management plan to ensure each production area meet required standards as per Legislation and Audit Standards
- Evaluate and develop an effective security management strategy to eliminate risk to property and person
- Monitor and enforce all health and safety measures according to legislation and company safety plan.
- Evaluate and establish customer specifications and growing forecasts to establish strategic plans to meet customer needs.
- Adhere to and implement food safety compliance standards as set out by the relevant auditing authority
- Relationship building with all relevant stake holders to ensure best results

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- At least 10 years’ experience as a senior manager in agriculture including management of a large workforce
- Experience in a horticultural environment and/or substrate farming would be an advantage
- Excellent planning and project management skills and experience
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and financial controls
- Possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
