**Responsibilities & Duties**

The responsibility of the IT Specialist will and may change from time to time as decided by Management.

**People Responsibility**:

- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance of the network system and computer infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Systems upgrade where necessary.
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Conducting periodic backup operations.
- Desk Support.
- Access Point, Switch and Printer setup, maintenance and monitoring.
- Management and maintenance of an effective inventory process.
- Network & Server Infrastructure rollout, maintenance, performance monitoring and reporting.
- Assisting management with procurement of quotes and liaising with suppliers for prices and to assure accuracy in all specification requirements
- Security of infrastructure
- Password -management
- Port security
- Blocking of sites
- Blocking of Ips

**Key Performance Measures**:
1. 100% Network time (except during load shedding, ISP downtime and or electrical faults).

2. Maximum downtime of 2-3 minutes per agent for any headset and or PC related issues.

3. OS updates on all PC’s and Network infrastructure.

4. Up-to date branch assets register sent to the head of Technicians on the 3rd day of every new month.

5. Cable ordering on all desks on the sales floor.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Any networks related qualification.
- Troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows OS.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented.

Ability to meet business timelines and handle pressure

**Working Hours**:
**Monday to Friday**: You will be required to work from 08:00am - 17:00pm. Plus 2 Saturdays (9am-1pm)
