**_ Position Title : Financial Officer - Collation_**

**_ Employee Group : Permanent_**

**_ Position Purpose:_**

To ensure that cargo dues is completely and accurately accounted for all cargo handled, imports, exports and transhipments

in the Port of Cape Town.

**_ Position outputs:_**

Liaise with clients on non-submission of manifests as well as cargo dues and ensure resolution of exceptions.

Generate cargo dues exceptions report per vessel then follow up on exceptions.

Liaise with clients in writing and telephonically with regards to TNPA queries.

Liaise with TPT and other Terminal Operators for required information.

Determine of cargo dues paid in other ports.

Record the vessel arrival statistics for cargo working vessels.

Correcting and rectifying the incorrect information on SAP/ OTC

systems by identifying errors and mismatches on source

documentation such as outturns, manifest etc.

Converting the collation report from SAP/ OTC to Excel.

Capture outturns when required in bulk, breakbulk and containers.

Regular update status of collation process and ensure that the

filling of collation documents are kept up to date.

Preparation and compiling of monthly Collation report.

Plan work schedules to meet the monthly collation reporting

deadlines.

Match terminal records, manifest and relevant supporting

documentation to the cargo dues and billing documents to ensure

accuracy and completeness of revenue.

Raise penalties for non-submission and late submissions.

Framing of cargo dues orders if clients do not reply within 3 days.

Perform credits and debits to rectify incorrect cargo dues

submitted.

Shipping lines, Clearing and Forwarding Agencies, Container

Operators and Terminal Operators.

Run final report to ensure all cargo dues are recovered before the

collation file is closed. Filing once files are completed.

Assist with the internal and external audit process.

Ensure compliance with CFRC’s.
Any request by Management that is related to revenue functions

to ensure continuity within the revenue department.

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**

Matric Certificate
Minimum 2 experience in a Finance field/ environment.

Experience in Revenue billing and collation will be an added
advantage.
