**About Us**

Edublox reading and learning clinics specialise in educational interventions comprising of cognitive training, reading, spelling, comprehension and maths. Since its inception in 1979, over 150,000 people in approximately forty countries have benefitted from Edublox.

Edublox Tutors are responsible for tutoring small groups of learners by using Edublox specific cognitive development and reading methods.

**Essential Requirements**
- Minimum education level: Grade 12 (ideal role for a B Ed student or a retired teacher)
- Excellent in Afrikaans and English, spoken and written (C average or higher on NSC)
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Be punctual and committed
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work with minimum supervision
- Be adaptable and flexible in terms of availability
- Willingness to adhere to prescribed Edublox protocols and procedures, including quality control processes

**Desirable**
- Experience in working with primary school children
- Have a passion for developing children
- Driven to expand knowledge

**Working Hours**
- Overall work hours will take place during school terms i.e. 40-42 weeks p.a.
- Regular hours: 12 - 20+ hours per week, structured as follows:

- Afternoons between 14:00 and 18:00 (Monday-Friday)
- Alternating Saturday mornings (08:00-12:00)
- Additional hours by prior agreement:

- Ad hoc days during school holidays
- Ad hoc mornings between 08:00-13:00

**Duties include**:

- Tutoring of small groups of learners by using cognitive development and reading methods (training will be provided)
- Submitting lesson logs
- Maintaining attendance records
- Contributing to learner development reports

**Assumption of duty**

Tuesday, 2 May 2023 (availability for training in advance of start date)

**Remuneration**

R75-R85 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
