Apprentice Baker

Village n Life in Camps Bay seeks an apprentice baker to join our opening team.

An excellent learning opportunity exists for a dynamic, forward-thinking person with an interest in baking to learn the trade under the guidance of a master baker.

The bakery will run 5 days per week, with shifts from 4am - 12pm.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Matric
- Excellent command of the English language
- No specific job experience is required, as full training will be given.
- Some work experience is advantageous
- Interest to learn the baking and pastry trade

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Produce dough for bread and pastries as per the recipes that has been standardised
- Shape breads and pastries
- Baking of pastries
- Adhere to the baking schedule of the kitchen
- Adhere to the HACCP controls as per legislation
- Cleaning of the kitchen and bakery equipment
- Packaging / Display of bread products
