**Role purpose**:
Translate the medium and short-term demand plan into a feasible supply and brewing plan as input for the micro-planning process; and monthly/weekly S&OP plans. In addition, create an optimal imports plan, local source and plan production for Brewing and Packaging.

**Key responsibilities**:
**Supply Planning: Imports and Production Planning (Brewing and Packaging)**
- Create optimal supply plans that fulfil production and customer service requirements, while making optimal use of the available resources
- Effectively plan packaging lines to optimize performance and meet the tactical supply plan
- Effectively plan Beer and Cider liquid production to optimize performance, resources and meet tactical supply planning requirements
- Generate, sign-off and execute the rolling 13-week Production, Imports, Local Sourcing plans and on a weekly basis
- Effectively manage and communicate changes to the supply-and-brew plans
- Manage finished good stock levels in line of business objectives and desired Customer Service levels
- Report decisions, key metrics (e.g. Conformance to Schedule) and issues related to production planning and scheduling to relevant stakeholders, in a timely and accurate way, to support prompt decision-making
- Key User for FuturMaster Planning tool
- **Integrated Supply Planning**_ _**
- Through Scenario Planning, provide input to the Weekly S&OP and Supply Review meetings (explains the impact of supply decisions i.e. financial, stock availability, prioritization)
- Improve the quality of the plans, by ensuring that the appropriate planning process is
- applied and the right tools/systems are used
- Effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan
- Trade-off commercial and supply chain objectives by incorporating the commercial strategy and processes into the Supply Planning processes
- Achieve the best overall planning result for the organization by balancing customer service levels, working capital, asset utilization and operating cost
- Be the interface between the supply sources and the NPI team from an operational planning perspective
- Effectively incorporate the financial impact of planning decisions and planning performance into the Supply Planning process
- Engages Production, Distribution and Warehousing Departments in exploring potential improvements within the supply chain
- **Operational Planning**:

- Monitor receipts of finished goods production and import receipts and escalate delays for timeous resolution
- Monitor liquid stock levels and consumptions of production; and escalate delays/issues for timeous resolution
- Review and maintain a brewing plan
- Planning representation in Brewery meetings
- **Assets Management and TPM**:

- Measure brewing asset utilization and calculate losses according to applicable Heineken standards
- Execute and monitor improvement initiatives to meet targets set in the capacity and operating plan
- Lead process performance improvements using appropriate TPM tools and projects
- **Management Reporting**
- Analyze and interpret performance and trends from KPIs and other indicators
- Performs root cause analysis on KPIs to facilitate understanding and insight on brewing/packaging performance
- **Leadership**
- Collaboration across departments and sources of supply
- Stakeholder engagement (Customer Service, Warehousing and Distribution, Demand and Material Planning, Import and Local Sources, Brewery and Brewhouse)

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, Economics or Business Science
- 3-5 years’ relevant analytical experience in Sales, Inventory, Demand or Supply Planning functions in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment
- Computer literacy with sound working knowledge of ERP and Planning/Scheduling related tools
- CPIM / CSCP a benefit
