- Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans for the workshop.
- Meet company goals.
- Manage budgets and allocate funds appropriately.
- Bring out the best of workshop personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
- Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
- Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
- Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations.
- Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company.
- Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration Build and manage a Profitable business.
- Develops and implements effective procedures & strategies to ensure the profitability of the business which includes Customer Service Surveys, Customer Referral Programs, etc.
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all workshop staff.
- Discipline’s workshop staff where necessary.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the workshop.
- Implements and manages the workshop workflow and liaises with clients regarding vehicle status.
- Troubleshoots vehicle damages and advises on the correct repair / service steps to be taken.
- Conducts and attends Meetings.
- Monitors and controls the performance of the workshop using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys.
- Strives for harmony and teamwork within the workshop and with Directors.
- Develops and implements a sales and marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business.
- Achieves required production / sales targets for the workshop.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with national laws and local by-laws that affect workshop operations such as hazardous waste disposal, Occupational Health, and Safety requirements, etc.
- Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer and supplier warranty and policy procedures.
- Holds daily co-ordination meetings and weekly progress meetings with workshop staff and keeps minutes of such.
- Directs and schedules the activities of all workshop employees.
- Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed.
- Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
- Authorises all job cards / repair orders and monitors sales and hours relative to expectations.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Informs repair technicians of time allowances on each job card / repair order.
- Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.
- Serves as liaison with Fleet Managers, Business and Dealership representatives.
- Ensures the proper care, storage and inventory of all tools including special tools.
- Ensures that customers' service files are up-to-date and readily available for reference.
- Prepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labour operations.
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to RMI, MIWA and Dealership guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains 48-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service / repair experience.
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment.
- Must be well spoken and maintains a professional appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Education / Experience**:

- In possession of a Post Matric qualification or Graduate from an accredited college with minimum of three years' practical experience in retail and customer service specialization.
- Proven Branch and Sales management experience within the motor industry or similar.
