We at RCL FOODS are in search for a GL and Cashbook clerk to join our Baking Division. The role will be based in Nelspruit and report to the Commercial Financial Manager.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Maintenance of Cashbook**

Capture bank statement transactions on Syspro

Maintain a cashbook & bank account control sheet

Do Bank reconciliations on Syspro

Process cashbook transactions on Syspro

Responsible for full cashbook function

Ensure all transactions are posted through and follow up with IT if not

Follow up on all banking notices received from the bank where there are discrepancies between the cash and deposit slip.

Ensure Depot cashiers submit deposit slips daily

Review daily deposit slips and follow up with the cashier if there is a cash shortage

Do random “Cash on Hand’ checks in cash office and petty cash.

**GL Accounts & Journals**

Maintain a master list of monthly journal entries

Prepare journal entries as per master list for import into Syspro

Ensure that reversing entries occur

Ensure that recurring entries are changed or terminated at appropriate trigger points

Ensure monthly reconciliations of GL accounts are done.

**General Administration**

Assisting the Accountant in compiling the weekly and monthly reports

Compile pack of supporting information for all journal entries

Maintain detailed listings of the contents of all balance sheet accounts

Compile ad hoc spreadsheets and analysis when required

**Information and Data management**

Ensure team members accurately and regularly capture data onto SYSPRO to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

Grade 12 (with mathematics) minimum

Accounting would be an advantage

2-3 years administration experience or experience in a similar role

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**

SYSPRO would be an advantage

Administration practices

Advanced Excel skills

Attention to detail is essential

Must be able to work under pressure

Self-motivator
