We are looking to employ a qualified, SACPCMP Registered (as an officer) and competent safety officer from the construction industry. The applicant will be responsible for the health and safety of staff in the workplace. The safety officer will compile safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent, as well as share best practice techniques at regular staff meetings.

To ensure success as a safety officer, you must stay updated with the latest trends in health and safety, and consistently implement these practices in the workplace. the safety officer will maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every member of staff complies with the regulated standards.

Safety Officer Responsibilities:

- Assess Site Conditions
- Evaluate site safety and environmental requirements
- Prepare complete safety files and ensure they meet legal requirements and client specifications
- Ensure that the company meets legal requirements for site work
- Compile risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
- Ascertain training needs for the site
- Record, investigate and report incidents and IODs
- Implement continuous compliance with HSE Management Plan
- Ensure that provisions and requirements of the contract are understood and adhered to
- Carry out a thorough review of all processes and procedures currently being used and review where improvements could be made to increase efficiency
- Ensure equipment, tools and facilities are inspected and maintained
- Regularly inspect equipment.

Safety Officer Requirements:

- A safety qualification.
- Must be from the construction industry.
- Must be registered with SACPCMP as an officer.
- Live in Mpumalanga province
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this position.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month
