- **ND Electrical Engineer or N6**:

- Min of **5 years exp on Power Plant Operations**:

- Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills
- Independent **knowledge of troubleshooting**:

- Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Must be flexible to changing conditions and situations.
- Must be able to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations.

**DUTIES**
- **Monitors plants and dams and coordinates stream flow to meet power demands**.
- **Regulates transmission loads, frequencies, and line voltages**.
- **Performs preventive and required maintenance** and **troubleshoots equipment problems**; tasks may include **testing auto-start features** or **repacking valves**.
- Performs troubleshooting and documentation, and assists in the resolution of problems discovered on shift
- **Conducts excitation system inspections and preventive maintenance**:

- Proficient in operating material handling equipment
- Develops and implements plant operating procedures
- Understands relationship of equipment to plant systems
- May provide instruction and teaching to lower-level employees
