Principal Technician

**Requirements**:

- National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Qualification in Project Management is advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience
- Extensive experience in and understanding of the implementation

of resource and services policies, strategies, norms and

standards, by-law, programmes and procedures
- Valid code EB driver’s license
- Willingness to travel extensively within the City of Cape Town

Key Performance Areas
- Managing the development of infrastructure provision

planning in conjunction with other functions
- Identifying and initiating of projects
- Developing and implementing Special Projects, Benchmarking,

Best Practice Applications
- Planning, Implementing and commissioning of projects
- Developing and facilitating partnerships
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Implementing financial control as well as project risk

management
- Developing, updating and implementing of systems, procedures

and standards, office management, correspondence and

documentation management
