The above-mentioned senior position exists within the Member Value and Sustainability Department. The CSI specialist, working under the management of Manager: Social Programs, is responsible for the execution of CSI activities for the AVBOB Group in accordance with the approved CSI policy, operational and execution plan.
**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
**Corporate Social Investment Programs**:
- Implement the AVBOB Group CSI strategy and CSI policy in consultation with the Manager: Social Programs.
- Implement all CSI initiatives and provide reports on outcomes for each initiative.
- Gather learnings and insights for Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programs nationally and internationally.
- Monitor and measure all flagship CSI initiatives and provide meaningful input into the required governance reports.
- Assist in driving a culture of data analysis and data driven decision making across the business in terms of social investment management and strategy.
**Administrative**:
- Develop the annual CSI execution calendar in line with the pre-approved initiatives.
- Prepare meeting packs for CSI Committee meetings to ensure the smooth running of meetings.
- Conduct pre-evaluation of CSI requests received and ensure that they are compliant to industry regulatory/ legislative requirements and that they align to the Group’s CSI policy.
- Ensure that the administrative requirements are upheld in the implementation of CSI initiatives in order to comply with the annual internal, BBBEE and compliance audits.
- Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are in place for all CSI projects and liaise with relevant stakeholders and beneficiaries regarding Section 18 certificate, BBBEE certificate and required letters of acknowledgement.
- Coordinate the sourcing of appropriate and cost effective promotional and branding material regarding CSI initiatives and advise the CSI committee on findings and if necessary to reconsider additional/ reduction of project funding.
**Stakeholder Management**:
- Establish and nurture relationships, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure that all socio-economic development initiatives are monitored and evaluated accurately and meaningfully, thus demonstrating social impact.
**Budget Management**:
- Administer the CSI budget and funds allocated to approved CSI initiatives, in line with the approved Delegation of Authority.
- Keep accurate record of initiatives funded.
- Correct any erroneous budget allocations in conjunction with the Senior Clerk and Finance Team.
- Ensure that payments are made timeously and in-line with the required Finance Department requirements.
**Management reporting**:
- Prepare management reports on execution plan, give input into the Social and Ethics report and BBBEE reports.
- Collect and collate information from various departments about sustainability and community development projects i.e. financial information, statistic, photos, and other qualitative and qualitative information.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION**:
- Relevant qualification NQF level 6 (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
**EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION**:
- 5 Years’ relevant working experience, especially in the Social Programs space.
- Extensive knowledge of CSI tactics.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and methods.
- Knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation of CSI initiatives.
- Strong Project Management relationship building and networking skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Good judgement and decision making.
- Well-developed communications skills (verbal/ written) and good listening skills.
- Good knowledge of financial and budget principles.
