**Full Time Lecturer**

**A tertiary college with a Cape Town Campus,** School of Engineering has vacancies for Lecturers within the following disciplines:
**Our client **will be launching their
**Bachelor of Engineering programme** in 2023 and they are seeking academics in the field of
**Engineering**.

**Lecturer: School of Engineering**

**Minimum Education Requirements**:

- Masters degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering Science.
- Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is highly advantageous.

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years Teaching and Learning experience.
- The incumbent will be required to assist with the ECSA Accreditation process, as well as the running of practicums.
- The incumbent will be required to assist with Programme initiatives, such as the running of the Engineering Learning Centre (ELC - Tutoring) and the Engineering Student Society

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lecturing_
- Lecture on programmes across various modes of delivery where relevant
- Lecturer Development and Support_
- Assist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures. This may include conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops and one-on-one consultations.
- Student Development & Support_
- Championing/leading and managing academic development and support for a specific programme and its students.
- Tracking student success and implementing support interventions where required.
- Research & Scholarship_
- The incumbent is required to promote a culture of scholarship within their practice, discipline and campus/team and is also required to contribute towards the Institution achieving its annual research output targets.

Competencies required:

- Superior communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage work and self proactively.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to manage relationships with managers and staff effectively in terms of motivation, quality and performance.
- Passion for Customer Service.
- Experience in the use of technology to enhance learning is an added advantage.
- Competencies required:_
