The Village bicycle Tygervalley is looking for an experienced bartender.

Prepare drink orders for customers according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles. Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Transport supplies to bar set-up area. Wash soiled glassware. Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Process all payment methods. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank. Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas. Complete closing duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide an excellent guest drinking experience.
- Create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas.
- Check drink presentations and temperature to make sure of their quality.
- Ensure that the bar is set up and ready for service.
- Ensure a minimum loss through breakage, waste, theft, and incorrect orders.
- Assist management in taking bar stock.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tygervalley, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
